Vegan Dauphinoise: Baked Potatoes In White Sauce

If you’ve been following us, you already know this is going to be a delicious post! Today, we’re presenting our Vegan Dauphinoise: Baked potatoes in white sauce – a super easy yet complex and absolutely delicious recipe for all the potato lovers out there!

  • Ingredients
    • 2 kg of potatoes
    • 500 ml vegetable milk
    • 300 g vegan cheese
    • 200 gr vegan feta cheese
    • 300 gr smoked tofu
    • Salt & pepper to taste
    • A few thyme twigs
  • Cooking instructions. Step by step
    • First, slice the potatoes into super thin pieces. A grater will do the job perfectly for you. Then let the potato chips in water, while you start preparing the vegan white sauce
    • For the sauce, you will need to mix the vegetable milk with the grated vegan cheese and the grated vegan feta.
    • Season with salt and pepper and mix the sauce well
    • In an oven dish, place a layer of vegan white sauce, one of potato chips, one of crumbled smoked tofu and 1-2 thyme twigs for flavour
    • Repeat the steps, layering nicely all the ingredients and finish with the white sauce on top
    • Season with pepper, cover the dish with an aluminium foil and bake everything in the oven for 60 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius
    • After 1 hour, remove the aluminium foil and let the potatoes in the oven for 30 more minutes to get a nice crust
