Homemade Focaccia

Crunchy on the outside and wonderfully fluffy inside. Thy out this quick & easy focaccia recipe made with only 5 ingredients: flour, water, salt, dried yeast and, of course, the olive oil that gives a lovely richness to your focaccia.

🌱1 kg pizza bio flour (the pizza flour is recommended because it is more elastic and it will give your focaccia more richness. But you can also use all-purpose flour, if you don’t have or couldn’t find pizza flour in store)

🌱3 tsp dried yeast

🌱1 Tbsp salt

🌱8 Tbsp olive oil

🌱700 ml lukewarm water

How to prepare it:

  1. Mix the lukewarm water with the dried yeast
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the pizza flour, then pour the dried yeast mixture on top
  3. Add the salt and combine everything until your dough comes together nicely
  4. Then, add 4 Tbsp of olive oil and mix again
  5. When the dough is done, cover it with a towel and let it rise until it doubles its size
  6. Take a 20/30 cm non-stick oven tray, spray it with olive oil on the bottom and put half of your dough into it. Don’t spread it just yet. Cover again with a towel and let it rise in the tray for one more hour.
  7. After that, spray the dough with a little bit of olive oil and spread it evenly on the tray using your fingers
  8. Bake it in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius and that’s it. Your amazing homemade vegan focaccia is ready! Enjoy!

🌱Serving tips: You can top your focaccia with some olive oil, salt and your favourite herbs if you want some extra flavours or simply get creative and top it with your favourite ingredients.
